That will make local government more focused on partisan politics and what the party policies are. That is not good for our local government and our community needs.

Whether or not local officials are elected on a partisan or non-partisan base is a question which should be decided at the local level--not the state level. Our city decided 40 years ago that partisan elections at the local level were counterproductive.
