Because Columbus day celebrates Italian heritage and not Columbus. To change the name to indigenous people's day, is pushing another culture aside because of a lack of understanding

because history books need to really look at the true actions of the explorers towards the people ( Natives) already there and correct how they were treated and the near geneocide of them.
