I think the talent is there, and a decent coaching staff can get more out of them. Still 3-4 defense which they started recruiting for.

Because Frost showed what he could do in 2 short years at UCF. But we need to be patient if it takes longer.

Some people in life just seem to have "it". Coach Frost has shown over and over that he has that quality. "it" rubs off on those around him, it inspires people to be more, try a little harder and push through adversity. The remarkable amount of success he has all his career is all the proof i need.

He's already done in less than two years at UCF... So he could pull a big upswing with us. But if he doesn't, I think we will support him for at least 5 years with improvements showing as he progresses. I am just happy no more of the Diaco blame game and the worst play-calling on offense.

I just think it's never been the kids. A good coach, as Nebraska has proven in the past, can make good athletes great through teaching, coaching, and believing. I pray that Scott and his staff are those coaches. It appears to be the case from what I have seen him do so far. Patience will be required

The talent is pretty good. The game-planning will be much better than we have seen in the recent past. They will be markedly better in a very short time.

Huskers have the talent, they're young and lack depth at several positions. With a coaching staff who can teach the fundamentals, develop players and do an effective job this year and next evaluating talent then two years, a Division West title should be well within reach.

Because there is enough young talent on the team to Win in the Big10 West. With the right coaching and scheme (see UCF as example) it can happen quickly

Because I have a TON of faith in Scott Frost. He knows the system, culture. The fans will let him do his thing without a lot of second-guessing. His personality and experience will compel fence-sitting recruits to give NU a shot. I'm COMPLETELY jazzed about Scott transforming NU.

I should qualify "contender" in my mind as challenger for the Big 10 Championship. That's enough for me at this point. From the outhouse to the Penthouse in 2 years, absolutely do-able with SF. (I won't be sad if it doesn't happen, just no more 50-point blowout losses to MN and IA ! )

I think if Scott Frost is named HC, it will be within 3 years. Ive watched Central Florida and it is the offensive scheme plus very sound defense that has made them so successful. He taught all that to UCF players within 2 years. There is no reason to think that UNL players are dumber than UCF.

It'll take 1 year to undo MR's "coachings", 1 year to implement the new system, and the 3rd year will show a scrappiness on the field we haven't seen in a LONG Time. So 3 to show competitiveness, 4 to be in national contention

If Frost comes he will fix the work ethic and discipline right away, but it will take at least 2-3 years to beef up the team to out-physical Wisconsin on the lines.

Hoping that is 1-2 but trying to temper expectations and be realistic, I think 3-4 is more likely. You never know though, just look what SF did at UCF. There's no way anybody predicted that, even SF didn't think that transformation was going to be that quick.

I don't think we have the ol,dl or team speed to contend for anything for at least 3 years and thats being generous. Depending on how this year's recruiting class turns out it maybe 4 years.

Unless the new coaching staff can find ways to motivate the offensive line and the defense, its going to take time. The talent that is on roster now, demonstrated an ineptness for position responsibility this year, not sure how coaching factored into that.

If the lines are improved and up to the task, I think they lose to Oregon, Indiana and OSU, maybe split Illinois/Iowa and win the other 7.

Looking at the schedule, 5-0 on the front end is a definite possibility. Going 3-4 on the backend is doable. Having said that, there's still no consistency with this team, making 5-7 just as much of a possibility.

The schedule actually is favorable if you look at not just who we play, but when we play them. Looking at the non con, we'll definitely come out of the gate 3-0, then MSU & MD. We can win those. That would be 5-0. 3-4 on the back end is doable, even if you pencil in IU, OR, & OSU as definite L's.

Never would believe this, but we could come away with only 2-4 wins. I do love the new QB, the new DC coordinator and new OL coach. But no proven RBs, limited personnel in the DL,, Rhule has never learned the run first offense, and we have TOO MANY coaches. A hat on backwards isn't going to help.

We saw what we saw last season and that means little hope we can win 5-6 in 2026. Too many new things to know what is going to happen but easy to assume 8 wins is out of the question.

I hate to be this negative but I think we'll be lucky to make a bowl game 😔 Between not being able to beat a ranked opponent, the coaching carousel, no proven QB or RB and just sucking the last 25 years I'm starting to lose hope and lose faith in this staff. GBR 😭

Not possible. Lost our best player to the NFL draft. New OL coach and DC. Major rebuild. Scary to think this is year 4 and NU is talking about a major rebuild. Rhule sells the Kool Aid hard in the off season. GBR!!!

QB turnover machine. No D tackles. No RBs. Good Luck. 6-6 is the absolute ceiling. 5-7 is what it will be.
