A local municipality should not hold a monopoly over its citizens. Imagine how many new businesses would start up if trash services were privatized?

Waste of time & truck fuel to send 2 different trucks every couple weeks when it’s all going to the same place! Just pick up all of it every week with 1 truck. Also, residents want to know exactly which types of our previously recycled materials actually were going into the landfill anyway?

If they charge us, pick it up. We paid the bill for 10 months with no service.
ReplyAbsolutely. Recycling is good, even if it's being thrown away. Decisions like this, is what has made Columbia what it is today.
